Reviewing a clause

Select any passage and ask for a review. The add-in retrieves the law that governs it and returns findings anchored to the exact words that raised them.

• Each finding is highlighted in the document itself, coloured by severity.
• The reasoning is attached as a Word comment, where your build of Word supports comments.
• Where there is a suggested rewrite, accepting it inserts the change with track changes on, so it arrives as a normal tracked edit that you or a colleague can accept or reject.
• Every finding carries the sources it came from, so you can open the provision behind it.

Asking and drafting

The pane is also a full chat. Ask a question or request a draft, with or without the selected text as context.

• Whatever you have selected can be passed as context, so the answer is about your document.
• The answer streams into the pane as it is written.
• Nothing touches the document until you press Insert. Then it goes in at the cursor as real headings, bold and lists, with a numbered source list.

Getting it installed

The add-in is live and runs against the same account you use on the web. It is not in the Microsoft AppSource store yet, so installing it means loading a small manifest file into Word rather than clicking Get it now.

We send you that file. In Word it is Insert, then Add-ins, then Upload My Add-in, and pick the file. On Mac you can drop it into Word's add-in folder and restart instead.

Ask us for the manifest and we will send it with the two steps written out.

Signing in

The first time the pane needs your account it opens a sign-in window inside Word. Use the same credentials as the website, including Google or LinkedIn if that is how you signed up.

The session is held in the pane's memory for as long as it is open. Nothing is written to the document, and closing the pane ends it.
